    A 5 Minute Good Vibes Guided Morning Meditation

    In my mind, I'm one of those super-plugged in spiritual people who can meditate amid crazy commotion - like in the throngs of an epic designer sample sale. (You know, the kind where folks are fighting over Louboutin's.)


    In reality, not so much. Although my shopping prowess is impressive, and my shopping state of mind is practically meditative, alas, one of those people, I am not.


    The truth is, I have not exactly managed to incorporate a daily meditation habit into my routine - yet.

    But, I'm working on it. And each day I come a smidge closer to becoming one of those people.


    In my experience, the juice is totally worth the squeeze on the meditation front. Those who commit to the ancient practice absolutely reap many a benefit.


    • Meditation enables us to see ourselves in real time, increasing our self awareness and authenticity in daily life.


    • Meditation centers us - empowering us to refrain from reacting prematurely, or heck - reacting at all, towards others or ourselves.


    • Meditation promotes a peaceful, purposeful mentality that makes life as a whole, a lot less fuzzy.

    One of my favorite personal development and spiritual gurus, Gabby Bernstein happens to have an app for that - a meditation and coaching app that is, as well as a bevy of beautiful meditations available for free on YouTube. (Her books are available here - my fav is The Universe Has Your Back.)

    My go-to short and sweet meditation below is guided by Gabby, and starts my days on especially sunny, aligned notes. It's also the perfect remedy for getting back into flow when life happens.
